Shawnee Tales
This will be a short newsletter as I am laid up between surgeries and restricted activity.
A cookie jar collector sent some pictures of several of the Supnick jars he added to his collection. He got some great pieces that he is excited about. As a Shawnee collector, I have said before that I have a tendency to be a purist and do not collect the commemorative jars. Although there is a good following among some collectors and bring some healthy prices. The vintage jars have always been my focus but I love seeing someone excited about adding pieces to their collection.
Another collector sent a picture of his most recent addition, beautiful decaled Smiley.
Many of you know I have always loved the decaled pieces which is why I have always loved the gold Bo Peeps and Granny Anns as well as other decaled pieces.
Hoping some of you will step up and send pictures for the next newsletter - not sure what the next couple of months have in store but want to keep the newsletter on track. Thanks for any contributions and hope everyone has a safe Labor Day weekend. There must be some antique markets out there to tempt some of you!
